Johnny Depp’s Lawyer Camille Vasquez Apparently Has A British Boyfriend

So, no she’s not dating Johnny Depp.

Can an A-list movie star not hug his glamorous female lawyer these days without the internet asking if they’re an item?

Johnny Depp, 58, who, lest we forget, is locked in the last throes of a vicious £40m defamation trial with his ex-wife Amber Heard, has been linked to Camille Vasquez, 38, the pick from his vast team of expensive lawyers from the major international firm Brown Rudnick — at least as far as Depp’s legion of online fans are concerned.

Vasquez and Depp shared a hug in the courtroom on Tuesday, which prompted a videographer to ask the lawyer if the pair were dating outside the courtroom — a video that has now gone viral on TikTok. Vasquez smiles and says nothing. But the answer, categorically, is no.

TMZ, the American celebrity gossip website, reports: 'As for all the smiling and giggling some have noticed between Johnny and Camille, we’re told she finds him funny... and couldn’t help but laugh at some of his antics and/or his sense of humour.

'More importantly, our sources tell us Camille is happily taken. She’s dating a British fella who works in real estate - with whom she’s been in a serious relationship for several months.'

Good for her. Good for them. For what it’s worth, Amber Heard has hugged her attorney too, but there’s no slobbering rumour mill about anything going on over there. In other news, Vasquez can clearly be seen wearing an engagement ring in the video in question. Ti tum ti tum ti tum. Nothing to see here, people.

What has been clear is that mawkish Johnny Depp fans have fallen head over heels for the tough-talking Vasquez, who has gone into battle for her client during the cross-examination of Heard this week.

Vazquez launched the second day of Heard’s cross-examination by asking about her claim that Depp violated her with a bottle of Maker’s Mark bourbon during a fight in March 2015 in Australia.

‘You’re the one who assaulted someone with a bottle in Australia, isn’t that right, Ms. Heard?’ Vasquez asked. ‘You weren’t scared of him at all, were you?’

‘I didn’t assault Johnny in Australia. I didn’t assault Johnny ever,’ Heard responded.

Vasquez also got Heard to admit she didn’t follow through on a promise to donate part of her $7 million divorce settlement to the ACLU — and pressed her on whether she had edited photos of herself with bruises.

‘I never touched a photo,’ Heard insisted.

In another tense moment that Depp fans have latched onto, Vasquez appeared to needle the actress by suggesting Depp helped her snag her role in Aquaman.

‘No, Miss Vasquez. I got myself that role by auditioning,’ Heard snapped.

‘I am still a Johnny Depp fan, but I am ALSO now a die-hard Camille Vasquez fan #IStandWithJohnyDepp’, tweeted one fan.
