Rebekah Vardy says Wagatha Christie row with Coleen Rooney has ruined her career – losing book and endorsement deals

Rebekah Vardy believes Coleen Rooney’s accusation has ruined her career, the explosive Wagatha Christie files have revealed.

The full cache of court documents was released to the public yesterday as a judge mulls a verdict in the bombshell ‘Scousetrap’ case.

Among the evidence is Rebekah’s victim impact statement – which says she lost an endorsement for placenta pills in the wake of Coleen’s allegation.

The seven-day High Court libel case saw Becky suing Coleen for libel after Wayne's wife publicly accused her of leaking stories to the press.

Mum-of-five Becky said she was binned off for lucrative jobs as a result of the claim, including a "potential book deal that was turned down".

She had teamed up with a company to make placenta tablets after the birth of youngest child Olivia.

However, the business backed out after the row began, she said.

"No one wanted to be involved with anything that was potentially going to end up in a court case, and because, although they didn’t necessarily say it to me, of the damage to my reputation," Becky wrote.

"I had a midwife company lined up to make placenta capsules and they pulled out weeks before the birth.

"I still get extremely stressed by live television or going into any environment where there is press because of the fear that someone will bring it up."

Lawyers for both Rebekah and Coleen agreed to release the fascinating bundle of documents, all of which have been used as evidence during the trial.

They include a leaked picture of Wayne Rooney in bed with his children wearing matching pyjamas.

She fumed: “It’s sad to think someone, who I have accepted to follow me, is betraying me for either money or to keep a relationship with the press.”

Coleen decided to plant fake stories on her private Insta account and limited those who could see them.

Someone I've accepted to follow me is betraying me... The grass strikes again

In October 2019 she went online and told her millions of followers “It’s . . . Rebekah Vardy’s account.”

Messages between Rebekah and Jamie were also released by the court.

In the chats, Becky labelled her rival "Mrs Manager".

They texted each other after reports that during England’s abysmal Euro 2016 campaign, captain Rooney had been asked by then-manager Roy Hodgson to have a word with Vardy about his wife’s media activities.

The details made the press and Rebekah messaged Jamie with a link, saying: “Jesus . . . This must have come from somewhere! Bet it’s his Mrs Manager.”

Rebekah denies leaking stories and is seeking substantial damages.

The case closed on Thursday, with Rebekah branded a “highly unreliable” witness and accused of lying under oath.
