Raja Ampat
The coral reefs of Raja Ampat are located near the Raja Ampat Archipelago, also known as the “Four Kings.” This archipelago consists of 1,500 islands located off the coast of New Guinea, in Indonesia’s West Papua province.
This area is considered to be the world’s center of tropical marine biodiversity as about 75% of the world’s known species of hard coral grow here. The coral reef consists of 600 species of hard coral in total and is home to over 1,700 species of reef fish. This makes it the richest biodiverse coral reef in the world and an amazing spot for scuba diving as well.
